http://www.avizieniai.vilniausr.lm.lt/

It is a bilingual school which is situated near the capital city of Lithuania, Vilnius. It is a day school for children aged 6-18 years. The overall staff includes 51 teachers and nearly 400 pupils. It is called a long gymnasium, which means that all stages of education are provided: primary, junior, secondary and senior secondary. One third of our students are educated in their first language, which is Polish. Being a bilingual school gives us not only the opportunity to teach the students in Lithuanian and Polish, but also challenges us to integrate them with each other, show them the importance of acceptance of different nationalities, cultures and languages. Our gymnasium is a modern, continually learning community, open for positive changes and innovations, cherishing its members and fostering their constant need for knowledge. Our students need to learn what it means to be a European citizen with rights but also with duties.

Tolerance, open thinking and creating opportunities are the main focus of our education. Our previous experience in European projects: The school participates in different kinds of both state and international projects with the partners from Sweden, Italy, Spain, Hungary and Poland. We successfully participated in Comenius project „Knowing the past to understand the present” few years ago. Currently are in the process of the Erasmus+ project ,,Enviroinclusion’’ , long term international project ,,Razem dla edukacji’’ and few national level ones.
